Indications: Cervarix™ vaccine is indicated for the prevention of persistent infection, precancerous lesions of the anogenital area (cervix, vulva, vagina, and anus), and cervical and anal cancer caused by certain oncogenic types of human papillomavirus (HPV) in both females and males from 9 years of age.
Usage:
Cervarix is a vaccine for the prevention of diseases caused by human papillomavirus types 16 and 18.
The Cervarix vaccine is indicated for intramuscular injection into the deltoid muscle area.
A single dose of the vaccine is 0.5 ml and is the same for children and adults.
The vaccination schedule depends on the age of the girl/woman.
From 9 years of age up to 14 years at the time of the first injection, Cervarix can be administered according to a two- or three-dose vaccination schedule.
From 15 years of age and older, only a three-dose vaccination schedule is recommended.
Storage conditions:
Store at a temperature of 2–8 °C (in a refrigerator). Keep in the original packaging in a place protected from light.
