Vacuum liposuction and laser liposuction. Lipofilling.

Liposuction - a surgical manipulation aimed at removing excess fat tissue in local areas (fat traps) through syringe or machine aspiration. This manipulation is aimed at contouring the body in specific areas, not at reducing overall weight. In our clinic, vacuum liposuction and laser liposuction are performed. The method of liposuction, as a rule, is chosen by the doctor depending on the volume of intervention and the patient's health condition.

INDICATIONS FOR LIPOSUCTION:

Presence of localized accumulations of fatty tissue, which are resistant to elimination by diet adjustment, engagement in sports exercises, and supplementary cosmetic manipulations. The most commonly encountered localized accumulations of fatty tissue (fat traps):

  • abdominal area (spare tire)
  • outer surface of the thighs (jodhpurs)
  • inner surface of the knees and arms
  • chin
  • sides (flanks) of the abdomen
  • etc.

TECHNIQUE OF PERFORMING THE SURGERY

After defining and marking the body surface area that needs correction, infiltration of the subcutaneous fat with a special solution is performed. Its purpose is to loosen the fat tissue and prevent potential capillary bleedings. Next, through incisions of 2-5 mm, the destruction of the fat tissue is carried out followed by suction (aspiration). For small volumes and the need for delicate manipulation (for example, on the chin), syringe-based and for larger volumes (abdomen, thighs) hardware aspiration. ANESTHESIA DURING LIPOSUCTION The choice of anesthesia method depends on the volume of the planned intervention, pain threshold, and the emotional state of the patient. For the removal of large volumes, general anesthesia is typically used: intravenous or endotracheal. Manipulations with small accumulations of fat tissue can be performed under local anesthesia with the use of sedative therapy. DURATION OF THE SURGERY

The duration of the operation depends on the planned amount of fat tissue to be removed, the use of aspiration techniques, and can vary from 30 minutes to several hours. HOSPITAL STAY

When general anesthesia is used during the operation, the hospital stay is 1 day. Removing large volumes of subcutaneous fat tissue creates a sufficiently significant hidden wound surface, which requires monitoring and possibly intensive therapy.

For small volumes using local anesthesia alone or in conjunction with sedative therapy, the patient is transferred to outpatient care the same day. POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD AND REHABILITATION Possible pain sensations at the aspiration sites subside within 2-3 days. It is necessary to wear compression garments (depending on the areas and volumes of liposuction performed, different types of compression garments are used, which are individually selected). Limit physical activity for a month (in case of high volumes), thermal procedures (visiting a tanning salon, sauna, bathhouse) are possible after the complete disappearance of complaints, anti-cellulite procedures not earlier than after 3 months. Avoid direct sunlight for 6 months. Use sunscreen with an SPF of 20 or more. The initial result of liposuction can be evaluated after a couple of weeks, the final result - within 2-3 months. Lipofilling (dermograft) - a technique that can be used to increase the size of the breast or buttocks, Remove wrinkles and fill any hollows on the body, or correct asymmetry (for example, of the face...). In this technique, the patient's fat is specially treated and injected into the required area of the body.
