Usually appears in the evening,
is mild and aching,
pulling in nature on the affected side in the testicle or in the scrotum and groin.
The pain may worsen when lifting heavy objects and usually subsides when lying down after rest.
🍀With prolonged varicocele, a portion of men may experience #testicular_atrophy,
which means
a reduction in its size,
negatively affecting hormonal and #reproductive_function.
In 25% of cases, varicocele is a factor in #male_infertility.
Medication treatment for varicocele is not used in most countries around the world,
although some pediatric urologists prescribe drugs that strengthen the walls of veins in the early stages of the disease.
