DERMATO-SURGERY. TREATMENT OF SKIN, HAIR, AND NAILS.

Dermatosurgery starts with dermatoscopy...

Dermatoscopy.

What is it and how often should you check moles and other formations on the body

Moles or nevi are benign formations on the skin and everyone has them. Some have a dozen, others have more than fifty.

Most moles rarely turn into malignant tumors, but as a person grows, their moles grow with them — changing shape, color, size. There are also various factors, for example, ultraviolet radiation,

which facilitate the transformation of benign formations into malignant ones.

Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check moles, both independently and by a dermatologist.

Signs of nevus transformation:

Asymmetry

moles have halves that differ in size and shape

Blurry edges

normal nevi have smooth, well-delineated edges; the edges of dangerous moles usually blend with the skin and it is difficult to understand, where the neoplasm ends

Variegated coloring

in the nevus, there are areas of different colors, for example, "black and pink"

Increasing

Constant growth of a mole can indicate dangerous changes.

Damage

Cracks, bleeding, and other surface disruptions of a nevus can be a sign of degeneration.

It is recommended to undergo a dermatological skin examination at least once a year, but this is in the absence of suspicious moles with signs of degeneration.

Dermatoscopy - a contactless hardware diagnostics of superficial skin lesions. Allows to determine the danger level of any neoplasm at the earliest stage (practically immediately after it appears)

Rapid and safe examination will quickly distinguish ordinary nevi or birthmarks from malignant pathology.
