Lip plastic surgery. What is cheiloplasty, and how is it performed?
Laser technologies in lip surgery make it possible to perform procedures with minimal trauma and excellent aesthetic results.

The video discusses lip surgery—what technologies are used and what exactly can be corrected...

The use of laser technologies in plastic surgery, including procedures on the lips and in the perioral area, makes it possible to achieve a number of significant advantages:
minimal trauma, reduced bleeding, faster healing, and improved aesthetic results.

Lasers can be used for various purposes in lip surgery and the surrounding areas:

• Reductive cheiloplasty (lip reduction):
The laser is used to precisely remove excess tissue.

• Shape correction:
To sculpt the contour or correct asymmetry.

• Removal of growths:
The laser allows papillomas, fibromas, and other growths on or around the lips to be removed carefully.

• Laser resurfacing:
Although this more often concerns the skin around the lips, the laser is used to eliminate fine (“smoker’s”) lines and improve skin texture, which is also part of the aesthetics of the perioral area.

Thus, laser technologies are a valuable tool in a plastic surgeon’s arsenal when working with the lips, helping to increase safety, reduce invasiveness, and improve the final aesthetic result.
