A coronary artery aneurysm is a serious, potentially life-threatening bulging of the arterial wall. Its danger lies in the risk of rupture. Diagnosis is critical:
echocardiography, CT angiography, or MRI allow for accurate determination of its size and location.
Treatment is individualized. Small, stable aneurysms often require only regular monitoring along with medication to control blood pressure and cholesterol. However, in cases of significant size, rapid growth, or a high risk of rupture, active intervention is indicated. This may include open surgical vascular reconstruction, bypass surgery, or, in some cases, endovascular stenting. The most important thing is timely diagnosis and consultation with a specialist. Do not ignore the symptoms!
