A coronary artery aneurysm is a serious, potentially life-threatening bulging of an artery wall. Its danger lies in the risk of rupture. Diagnosis is critical:
echocardiography, CT angiography, or MRI can accurately determine its size and location.
Treatment is strictly individualized. Small, stable aneurysms often require only regular monitoring alongside medication to control blood pressure and cholesterol. However, significant size, rapid growth, or a high risk of rupture warrants active intervention. This may include open surgical vessel reconstruction, bypass surgery, or, in some cases, endovascular stenting. The key is timely diagnosis and consultation with a specialist. Do not ignore the symptoms!
