Karos Oral Spray is an oral spray based on hyaluronic acid, designed for spraying in the throat area during inflammation of the oropharyngeal mucosa (inflammation of the mouth and throat mucosa). Hyaluronic acid has viscoelastic and physical properties, forming a protective barrier on the inflamed oropharyngeal mucosa. Due to its hydrophilic nature, it can absorb water up to 1000 times its volume, forming a gel-like film.
Mechanism of Action
When Karos Oral Spray is sprayed, the hyaluronic acid forms a thin protective film in the aqueous environment of the oropharynx. This film acts as a barrier for the mucosa of the throat and larynx during inflammation caused by:
• Non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (NERD),
• Upper respiratory tract diseases such as pharyngitis and laryngitis (both acute and chronic forms).
Indications for Use
Karos Oral Spray is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of oropharyngeal mucosa inflammation, such as:
• Inflammation of the vocal cords with or without dysphonia,
• Hoarseness,
• Need to clear the throat,
• Feeling of excess mucus in the throat,
• Sensation of mucus dripping down the back of the throat,
• Chronic cough,
• Sensation of a lump in the throat.
This spray is also effective for upper respiratory tract diseases such as pharyngitis and laryngitis.
Method of Application and Dosage
• It is recommended to spray twice into the oral cavity 3 times a day, 1 hour after meals.
• The duration of the treatment course is 2 weeks or as directed by a physician.
• Shake well before use.
• Do not eat or drink for 1 hour after use.
Precautions
• Do not use after the expiration date.
• Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
• Store at a temperature between 0°C and 25°C. Do not freeze.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• It is recommended to consult a physician before use.
Contraindications and Side Effects
