GARDASIL 9 GARDASIL (NETHERLANDS)
Gardasil®9, a 9-valent recombinant human papillomavirus vaccine (types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, 58)
242у.е.
Protects against human papillomavirus types 6, 11, 16, and 18. The first two are responsible for the development of genital warts, while the latter two are associated with cervical cancer, vulvar cancer, vaginal cancer, penile cancer, and anal cancer. The nine-valent vaccine Gardasil 9 targets five additional virus types: 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58. There is no effective treatment for human papillomavirus; the human immune system eliminates the virus within 12-24 months. It is known that a high amount of papillomavirus in women can lead to the development of cancers of the external genital organs. The main risk factors include having a large number of sexual partners and the presence of papillomavirus. In medicine, about 200 strains of HPV are known, and only some can cause cancer. To maintain good health in women, obstetricians/gynecologists recommend timely vaccination with Gardasil 9, which protects against 9 highly oncogenic strains of HPV. The practice of vaccinating girls who have not started sexual activity shows a very good level of protection against cervical cancer. Is it necessary to immunize with Gardasil 9 if there was a previous vaccination with the quadrivalent Gardasil? Vaccination with Gardasil 9 after Gardasil 2 or 4 definitely improves protection against human papillomavirus.
