Our examination program includes extended laboratory diagnostics, kidney ultrasound with blood flow assessment, and consultations with specialized doctors. The examination allows evaluation of the kidney's filtration function, detection of inflammatory processes, mineral metabolism disorders, the presence of stones, cysts, and other changes even before pronounced symptoms appear. This check-up is especially important in cases of high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, swelling, lower back pain, changes in urine tests, or hereditary predisposition to kidney diseases.

The check-up includes:

Kidney panel (blood tests):

- Total protein
- Albumin
- Urea
- Creatinine (serum)
- Glomerular filtration rate (CKD-EPI)
- Cystatin C

Additional tests:

- Uric acid
- Sodium (Na)
- Potassium (K)
- Chloride (Cl)
- Calcium (Ca)
- Inorganic phosphorus
- Parathyroid hormone (PTH 1–84), bio-intact
- Urine culture
- Three-glass urine test

Ultrasound diagnostics:

Kidney ultrasound:

- Kidney size
- Parenchymal thickness (right kidney/left kidney, mm)
- Layer differentiation (preserved/blurred)
- Parenchymal echogenicity (normal/increased)
- Renal pelvis / calyces (normal/dilated)
- Presence of calculi (description, size)
- Mass lesions / cysts (description)
- Kidney mobility during respiration
- Peak systolic velocity (Vmax) in the renal artery (right/left kidney, cm/s)
- Resistive index (RI) (right/left kidney)

PREPARATION GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING SAMPLES FOR THE KIDNEY CHECK-UP:

1. Blood (biochemistry and parathyroid hormone)
- Must be taken strictly on an empty stomach in the morning (8–12 hours fasting).
- Only plain water is allowed.

Exclude for 24 hours:
- Alcohol
- Fatty foods
- Excessive meat products
- Strenuous physical activities and workouts

Before blood collection, rest calmly for 15 minutes.

Take all morning medications after the procedure.

2. Urine (general analysis and albumin/creatinine ratio)
- Prepare 3 sterile containers.
- Collect the first, second, and third morning urine portions separately (divide the stream into three parts).

Deliver the samples to the laboratory within 1.5–2 hours.
Do not take diuretics or consume staining foods (beets, blueberries) for 24 hours before collection.
Before urine collection, it is recommended to maintain usual fluid intake and avoid excessive hydration.
