INSULIN (insulin resistance)

The main stress hormone—cortisol—reduces insulin sensitivity and leads to insulin resistance.
That is why, against the background of frequent stress, a person starts overeating sweets. Firstly, it is a psychological defense mechanism - "comfort eating," secondly, high cortisol stimulates the development of insulin resistance, and now it is not only cortisol that gives us a feeling of hunger, but also the newly arisen IR that provokes a feeling of hunger.
