If time permits,
chocolate,
nuts,
seeds, and spicy foods should be excluded from the diet two days before the procedure.
It is also advisable to stop consuming alcoholic beverages during this time.

The last meal should be no later than 6 PM before the procedure.
Dinner should be hearty,
but not contain hard-to-digest foods:
eliminate foods
rich in fiber,
heavy salads dressed with mayonnaise,
a large amount of whole-grain bread,
fatty meat or fish,
cheeses.
Refrain from legumes and pearl barley.
3.
On the day of the examination, you should refrain from consuming any food and drinks.
A small amount of water can be drunk no later than
2-4 hours before the start of the examination.

It is not recommended to take medications and smoke before the gastroscopy.
