After childbirth, a woman's body begins significant restructuring.
The duration of the postpartum period is 6 weeks.
During this time, a woman experiences certain discharges (lochia),
which should correspond to the following characteristics:
🍀1st day after childbirth – discharge in large amounts with clots;
🍀Up to the 3rd-4th day, the process continues with bloody and dark red lochia;
🍀On the 5th day and up to the 8th day after childbirth, the discharge becomes serous,
of a brownish hue;
🍀From the 9th day up to the 15th day, the discharge is characterized by a yellow tint;
🍀In the period between 16 and 20 days after delivery, lochia appear as regular leucorrhea, without odor;
🍀In the 3rd week and up to the 5-6th week – scanty discharge with mucus, which ends by the end of the postpartum period.
When is additional medical assistance required?
• An increase in body temperature to 37.5℃ and above.
• The appearance of discharge with an unpleasant and sharp odor or purulent in nature, accompanied by lower abdominal pain, weakness, and fever.
• The presence of heavy bleeding after their amount has decreased,
as well as prolonged continuous bloody discharge.
‼️There may also be pain in the perineum,
even if there were no tears or an episiotomy,
which are not very intense and usually resolve on their own.
A successful postpartum period also depends on how a woman takes care of her condition.
After childbirth, a gradual return to normal life is strongly recommended.
This is especially true for lifting heavy objects and disproportionate physical exertion.
Otherwise, there is a risk of pelvic organ displacement and prolapse.
Additionally, for the prevention of pelvic organ prolapse, it is necessary to perform Kegel exercises on days 3-5 if you feel well. In the postpartum period, it is possible to perform these exercises independently,
without trainers,
which can be incorporated into training only after the discharge has ceased (6-8 weeks).
To restore the body after childbirth, our clinic uses: bioidentical pellets,
Milan cocktail, and Cordyceps...
