Toothpaste, titanium dioxide ... What are the potential dangers of toothpaste?

You can encounter titanium dioxide nanoparticles in a variety of products, such as candies (especially dragees),
chewing gum,
dairy products,
sodas,
including dry mixes for their preparation,
mayonnaise,
processed meats,
quick breakfasts, and, essentially,
in many white-colored products.
For instance,
Chinese scientists found a large number of nanoparticles in crab sticks.

In addition to food products, titanium dioxide is also used in toothpaste,
in the coatings of tablets and capsules with medication,
in sunscreen cosmetics and some hygiene products. Studies have shown that nanoparticles of this substance are absorbed by the body through the skin, lungs, and partially through the digestive tract.

A recent study on patients also indicated a potential increased risk of type 2 diabetes with the systematic use of toothpaste containing titanium dioxide nanoparticles.

The U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health classifies them as carcinogenic substances.
Officially, it is even recommended to avoid sunscreens in spray or powder form containing these nanoparticles, as they can be easily inhaled accidentally and are absorbed through the lungs.

Moreover,
titanium dioxide nanoparticles disrupt the permeability of the intestinal mucosa,
allowing toxic substances and infectious agents to enter the bloodstream,
which are normally impermeable.

Similarly,
the so-called blood-brain barrier,
which protects the brain from harmful substances entering from the blood,
is also disrupted.
Of viruses and other microorganisms. Increased permeability of these two barriers is a key mechanism of aging in the body and central nervous system.
They also penetrate the placental barrier between mother and fetus, causing harm to the future child.
