ZOMIG Nasal Spray

Dosage and Administration
1. Gently blow your nose before use.
2. Remove the protective cap.
3. Close one nostril, insert the nozzle into the other; slightly tilt your head back, gently inhale and press the dispenser — you will hear a click.
4. Breathe deeply through your mouth for 5–10 seconds, then gently remove the nozzle.
5. One dose = 5 mg (one spray in one nostril).
6. If the effect is weak or symptoms return after ≥2 hours, a repeat dose is possible.
7. Do not exceed 2 doses (10 mg) within 24 hours.
8. Do not use more than 4 days a month — risk of medication-induced headaches.
Contraindications
Do not use if:
• You have ischemic heart disease, angina, or cardiac arrhythmias (including WPW syndrome);
• You have had a stroke, TIA, or vascular diseases;
• You have uncontrolled hypertension;
• You have known hypersensitivity to zolmitriptan or any components of the spray;
• You have taken other triptans or ergotamine medications in the last 24 hours;
• You have used MAO inhibitors less than 2 weeks ago;
• You have moderate or severe liver failure: the spray is not recommended in this form.
Special Instructions
• May cause an increase in blood pressure — monitor your BP.
• Fast-acting form is suitable for nausea or vomiting when tablets may not be absorbed.
• Possible side effects: unusual taste, tingling, dizziness, drowsiness, feeling of heat/cold, dry mouth, sore throat/chest pain.
• If cardiovascular symptoms occur (pain, chest tightness, rapid heartbeat) — stop taking and consult a doctor.
Storage and Disposal
• Store at 20–25°C, with the protective cap on, away from heat and children.
• Do not reuse the spray once used — dispose of after first use.
• Approved for the treatment of acute migraine in adults and adolescents aged 12 and older.
