Active ingredient: Sulodexide
Pharmacological Action:
Anticoagulant, angioprotector. It has antithrombotic, profibrinolytic, and anti-inflammatory effects. It improves the rheological properties of blood and the condition of the vascular wall.
Dosage Form:
Capsules, 250 lipoprotein units (ULS)
Indications for Use:
• Prevention and treatment of thrombosis and thromboembolisms
• Microangiopathies (including diabetic)
• Phlebopathies (including varicose veins)
• Vascular complications of diabetes mellitus
• Vascular genesis encephalopathies
Method of Administration:
Usually, 1 capsule twice a day (morning and evening) 30–40 minutes before meals. The treatment course lasts 30–40 days and can be repeated twice a year.
Contraindications:
• Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug
• Hemorrhagic diathesis and other conditions with an increased risk of bleeding
• Pregnancy (first trimester), lactation — with caution and as prescribed by a doctor
Side Effects:
• Possible nausea, stomach pain, skin rash, headache
• In rare cases — bleeding
