TRIMONASE (ITALY)
Each tablet contains 500 mg of tinidazole.
Indications for use
• Infections of the genitourinary system caused by Trichomonas vaginalis in patients of both sexes.
• Giardiasis (Lamblia intestinalis) and amoebiasis (Entamoeba histolytica).
Simultaneous treatment of sexual partners is recommended to prevent reinfection.
Contraindications
• Hypersensitivity to tinidazole or any of the excipients.
• Presence or history of blood disorders (dyscrasias), central nervous system pathologies.
• Contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy and during breastfeeding, as tinidazole crosses the placental barrier and is excreted in breast milk.
Dosage and administration
• Trichomoniasis: 4 tablets (2000 mg) as a single dose, taken with a small amount of liquid. Repeat treatment — no earlier than 8 days later, if necessary.
• Amoebiasis and giardiasis: 1–3 tablets per day, depending on the nature of the infection and the doctor's prescription. Duration — usually 5 days.
Dosage is determined by the physician depending on the severity of the disease.
