UGUROL contains tranexamic acid, which belongs to the group of antihemorrhagic drugs, antifibrinolytics, amino acids. UGUROL is used in adults and children from 1 year old for the prevention and treatment of bleeding caused by a process that inhibits blood clotting (fibrinolysis).
Main indications:
• Heavy menstrual bleeding;
• Gastrointestinal bleeding;
• Urinary tract bleeding after prostate surgery or other surgical interventions;
• Heart, abdominal organ, or gynecological surgeries;
• Bleeding caused by treatment with drugs that dissolve clots.
Contraindications
When should UGUROL not be used?
Do not use UGUROL if:
• You are allergic to tranexamic acid or any other component of the drug;
• You have conditions related to blood clot formation;
• You suffer from consumption coagulopathy (a condition where blood forms clots in different parts of the body);
• You have kidney problems;
• You have had seizures.
Drug interactions
Inform your doctor if you are taking:
• Other antifibrinolytic drugs;
• Medicines that prevent blood clotting (thrombolytics);
• Oral contraceptives.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Tranexamic acid is excreted in breast milk, so the use of UGUROL is not recommended during lactation.
Recommended for use under medical supervision.
