Dulcolax is a reliable and effective contact laxative designed for gentle stimulation of the bowel and temporary relief of constipation.
Contraindications:
• Hypersensitivity to the active substance (bisacodyl) or any of the excipients.
• Contraindicated in paralytic ileus, acute abdominal conditions (e.g., appendicitis), and severe abdominal pain accompanied by nausea and vomiting, which may indicate serious pathological conditions.
• Intestinal obstruction or stricture, acute inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract.
• Unexplained rectal bleeding.
• Severe dehydration.
• Pregnancy and lactation (use only after consulting a doctor).
• Rare hereditary conditions incompatible with the excipients of the drug.
• Contraindicated for children under 2 years of age.
Dosage and Administration:
• Adults: 1–2 tablets per day.
• Children over 10 years: 1–2 tablets per day.
• Recommendation: Start with the minimum dose, increasing to the maximum recommended dose if necessary to achieve regular bowel movements. The maximum daily dose should not be exceeded.
Instructions for Use:
• Take tablets in the evening to achieve an effect the next morning (after ~10 hours).
• When taken in the morning on an empty stomach, the effect is achieved in ~5 hours.
