CHECKUP INSULIN RESISTANCE

Insulin resistance often develops silently, but over time it can lead to type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and hormonal disorders. This check-up allows a comprehensive assessment of carbohydrate metabolism, helps identify hidden causes of metabolic disturbances, and determines possible complications.

- Only plain still water is allowed. Tea, coffee, juices, sweet drinks and chewing gum are prohibited.
- In the 24 hours before the examination avoid alcohol, fatty foods, sexual intercourse, visiting a sauna/banya, and intense physical activity.
- It is recommended to avoid stressful situations on the day before and the day of the examination. Before the blood draw sit quietly for 15–20 minutes to stabilize prolactin and cortisol levels.
- Do not smoke for at least 1 hour before the blood draw.
